Children

Children’s Minister: Rev. Rebecca Rutherford

SUNDAY:

Nursery - Childcare for ages 6 weeks-4 year olds (that are not yet in Pre-K) is provided at all worship services in Taylor Hall. We also have nursery provided at all other worship services and church sponsored events. If your group needs nursery, please see Amy Yoder, our Nursery Coordinator for arrangements.

Sunday School -There are classes for all ages at 10:30am in Taylor Hall. See Sunday Schedule below for more information regarding classes and times.  Parents must sign in/out children attending.

Children's Church (9am)- Children in grades K - 5th grade are dismissed after the Children's Sermon to go to Hildreth Hall for Kidmo, a high energy, media curriculum that teaches Truths about God, the importance of memory verses and sharing what they’ve learned.  The children compete for points during Kwizmo – boys against girls, of course!  The children return to the Sanctuary during the closing song.  There is no children's church on Communion Sundays.

"Wee Worship" (9am) is for Pre-K and Kindergarten ages.  This will focus on learning about Christian Seasons, Sacraments and Acts of Worship.  They will learn about prayer, learn songs, and, of course, learn through hands on experience (play).

Winter Retreat - Each February we get to experience "camp" for a weekend.  This is for children in grades 3rd-5th.  This is a time to get to know Blue Lake Camp if your child has never been to summer camp, or it is a time to reconnect with friends from the summer.  We roast marshmellows, go canoeing, play crazy games and have time to get into God's word.

Easter Egg Hunt - We have an annual community-wide Easter Egg Hunt each year two Saturdays before Easter.  We include a brunch, crafts, outdoor bouncy houses and a special message for children.

Fall Festival -community outreach and alternative to Halloween.  There is always lots of fun, candy, games, prizes, storytelling, hayrides and a non-scary/Bible hero costume contest.  We will be selling BBQ, homemade goodies and drinks.  Everything else is FREE!

Family Christmas Eve Service – Families with children are asked to participate in our 5pm Christmas Eve Worship Service.  This is a service for the family by the family.  Come join us!
